Explorations

Connections Learning Center students can participate in one of our unique Explorations Classes. These are on Tuesday afternoons from 2 to 4 pm. Students will be picked up by transportation at 4:30pm. While they wait they will have an opportunity for a study hall session to help the complete their weekly Zearn/Lexia minutes and makeup any missing work. 

Outdoor Exploration

Students go on fun adventures, exploring the wonders of the world through activities like hiking and field trips. These experiences help them learn more about nature and how to take care of it, with a big focus on the Leave No Trace principles and being good leaders in their community.

At CLC, while we love exploring, we also make sure students learn how to be responsible by following the Leave No Trace guidelines. This way, they can enjoy their adventures while protecting the environment and learning how to make a positive difference in the world around them.

Maker Space (Starting Q2)

In Maker Space, students dissect and understand the inner workings of various devices, from computers to sewing machines and more. Then, their creativity takes flight as they repurpose these components and other discarded items into unique art sculptures.

We offer a range of exciting challenges that ignite students' problem-solving skills, and exploratory days for those with a passion for specific projects within the field. STEAM Maker Space is where innovation and imagination unite, providing an immersive learning experience for young minds.

Music Exploration

In “Music Exploration," students learn the processes and skills that go into creating music. From learning multiple instruments (Primarily Guitar, Piano or E-Drums) to recording and producing their own tracks on Sound Trap, students will explore their own musical identity. 

As they develop their own musical talents, students will also be shown the many career and hobby paths within the music industry. Whether their focus is careers or self expression, students will learn how deep music can go. Be warned: It might get loud. 

Taco Tuesday 

In today’s interconnected world, understanding and appreciating diverse cultures through food has become an engaging and meaningful way to foster global awareness and culinary skills. "Taco Tuesdays" is an interactive and hands-on course designed to introduce students to fundamental cooking techniques while exploring the rich culinary traditions of various cultures.
