Visual Arts
The visual arts curriculum at Connections Learning Center provides students with opportunities to explore both 2D and 3D media.
Students are encouraged to pursue their interests in each project. Every unit is scaffolded to ensure students’ success. Students are invited to try different media of their choosing during certain classes or Friday Career and Service Time (CAST).
The curriculum includes:
- 2D Foundations
- Perspective Drawing
- Color Theory
- Painting
- Graphic design using Adobe Express, Canva and other programs
- 3D Foundations
- Ceramics
- Sculpture
- Craftspersonship
- Art History
- Weekly dives into artists and art history from prehistoric to contemporary periods
Ninth-grade students may earn credit for Visual Arts Level 1.
