Family and Consumer Science (FACS)

The Family and Consumer Science curriculum at Connections Learning Center provides students with the opportunity to gain experience cooking, sewing and developing a greater understanding of human development. These experiences allow students to explore their interests, foster essential life skills and possibly discover a passion for a career in hospitality and human services.

Students will learn kitchen safety, reading and preparing recipes, cooking techniques, nutrition, human development and sewing. Ninth-grade students may earn credit for Culinary Nutrition.
