Community Partners

Golden Optimists

Students have the unique opportunity to collaborate with the dedicated volunteers from Golden Optimists. Together, we embark on a journey of hands-on learning and service.

Under the guidance of experienced volunteers, CLC students learn essential mechanical skills as they work together to fix bicycles for the Optimists’ Bicycle Recycle program. These skills instill a sense of accomplishment and also promote self-reliance and problem-solving abilities.

BGOLDN

BGOLDN provides food-insecure students and families within Golden, CO with sustainable access to fresh, healthy, culturally appropriate food. Over the last year, CLC students have partnered with BGOLDN in their mission during the Service Learning portion of the school week. The goal of this partnership is for every student to engage in a meaningful project that benefits the community while developing essential life skills.

Colorado Mountain Club

Colorado Mountain Club has partnered with CLC since 2025 to provide students the opportunity to step outside of their comfort zones and celebrate their graduation from the induction course aspect of CLC's programming. CLC students engage in a day of indoor rock climbing and CMC graciously hosts us at their Golden based facility.
